If you made it to this page, then be sure to watch the 17-minute video, underneath my testimony video, to understand why I have strong-character language in my screenplay in order to grab secular alphas and hardcore secular females.
Yep – σκύβαλα (skubala) = shit.
Not the nice excrement, dung, or poop. In Saint Paul’s day σκύβαλα/shit was used in polite conversation about as much as we use it now. Paul is being very vulgar.
One of the top scholarly lexicons of Greek words A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature, 3rd Edition translates σκύβαλα as “refuse”, “garbage”, “human excrement”, “crud”, and “crap”.
…I forfeited all things; and I consider them dung so that I may gain Christ...
Philippians 3:8
Nobody is perfect. Sanctification is a process. Not all Christians are in the same environment, experiencing the same struggles. Some have way more stress than others, especially baby Christians.
Sometimes the stress can cause slips of the tongue, sometimes without even realizing we've had a slip of the tongue. The tongue is the strongest muscle in the body and although our will power is stronger, we sometimes allow our to tongue to take over.
Being slow to anger can take time for some people to learn. Some people learn by the actions of others rather than being hounded and preached at, which is why getting on personal levels is so important.
We all question our faith and others faith, which Paul says, test yourselves to know if you're in the faith. Endure to thee end. Thank you and I love you all. ♥
